Don't let the G rating scare you off, thinking it's a kiddie movie. I about laughed my ass off for the entire ... albeit short ... 78 minutes of this movie!

I never saw this movie in the theaters... though I wanted to. I ended up watching half of it over at Joe's place on DVD, and afterwards promptly went out and bought my own copy. I thought the funniest parts were already over... I was wrong. I haven't laughed so hard in a LONG time...

The story is fairly simple... Emperor Kuzco (David Spade) is about to have his 18th birthday, and he summons the village chief Pacha (John Goodman) to his palace to help him fix his 'problem'. Before Pacha arrives, we're introduced to Yzma (Eartha Kitt) and Kronk (Patrick Warburton), Yzma's sidekick. Yzma is the advisor to the emporer, however, on this day, Kuzco decides it's time to lay her off. Naturally she is very upset about this, and devises a plan to kill Kuzco, and take over the empire.

Things get crazy though, when she mistakes a vile of Extract of Llama for a vile of Poison... thus instead of killing Kuzco, he's turned into a Llama. Kronk is sent to dispose of him once and for all... and in one of the funniest scenes, Kronk is sneaking through the streets, humming his own theme song... that's classic!

Of course, Kronk doesn't dispose of Kuzco, he ends up losing Kuzco in the crowded palace marketplace... "Oh... I hope this doesn't come back to haunt me..." Hahaha!

Pacha returns home, unknowingly carrying Kuzco in a sack on the back of his cart. When he does eventually find out, thus begins the trek back to the palace to restore Kuzco to his human self. But along the way, they're faced with many obstacles... squirrels... panthers, scorpions and alligators! Oh my!

Yzma eventually learns of Kuzco's status of "Not quite dead", and her and Kronk begin the hunt to find Kuzco. Finally ending in a race to the palace to find the potion in the "Secret Lab" that will change Kuzco back to his former self.

This movie truly is hilarious. There were parts where I literally laughed out loud... parts where I had to pause it so I could finish laughing and not miss anything else. This is probably one of the funniest movies I've seen, in a LONG time.

Pacha: Uh oh...
Kuzco: Let me guess, we're about to go over a huge waterfall.
Pacha: Yep.
Kuzco: Sharp rocks at the bottom?
Pacha: Most likely.
Kuzco: ... Bring it on.

This one's definitely a keeper. David Spade and John Goodman make an excellent comedy team, and I can't wait to see what they do next.
