Welcome. I wanted to continue from where I left
off on the main page, so here we go..
Something else we're all being force-fed is how
'great' Jason "I beat my wife" Kidd
is. He's the next coming of Christ the way they're
talking about him. It's absurd. So, you're telling
me, this guy who put up the same or better numbers
with the Mavericks and Suns is suddenly greatness
with the Nets? He was considered good in the West,
but now, out East, he's 'MVP' caliber? Gimme a
fucking break. In the Nets starting 5, there are
4 Top 10 draft picks, including Kidd, and
another who was drafted in the 2nd round.
But, apparently, Kidd elevates his teammates to
a higher level. What fucking level is that? To
be drafted in the Top 10, you have to be considered
'superstar' or 'near-superstar' talent. I don't
think he's 'elevating' anyone. These guys are
playing the way they should be playing
and he just dishes the ball off because he can't
shoot. Another thing, the rest of the Nets' roster
only has 1 guy who wasn't drafted in the
2nd round or earlier. But, no, we're told this
is a surprise team because of their dramatic turnaround
from last year. That's understandable, but let's
get this straight. Last year they were dysfunctional
and had no direction and their players were playing
under their caliber because of it. Jason Kidd
didn't miraculously come to the team and make
them instant contenders. It's a combination of
him, good coaching, solid teamwork, and confidence.
So, get it right. He's good, but not as good as
he's made out to be.
Above all of this, anyways, should be the fact
that he's a wife-beater, and he does/did it constantly
in front of their son. Yeah, that's separate from
his playing, but when I'm told to care about him
and respect that he's made his life better, it
serves only to make me bring these things up,
because of the lies/bullshit being fed by the
media. I won't stand for it and if I can raise
awareness, I will.
When Jason Kidd played for the Dallas Mavericks,
I was a fan of his. I enjoyed watching him play,
the things he could do. I was always disappointed
with the fact that he couldn't shoot and that
he made highly questionable decisions at
times. But, still, he made the game interesting,
and more often than not, could make something
happen out of nothing. But, never did I sit back
and think, "Wow, look at how he makes Jimmy
Jackson better." Or, "Wow, look at how
he makes Jamal Mashburn better." The 3 J's
idea never took off because of inner turmoil,
but my point is, at times with Dallas, he was
surrounded with 1st Round talent and couldn't
get it done.
To this day, I still enjoy watching him play,
but I cringe every time he puts up a shot, and
I wince every time they show a picture of him,
Joumana and T.J. They'll talk about how loving
she is and all that nonsense. She only stays with
him because he's a cash cow and they have a child
to raise, even if it's a one-sided upbringing.
Don't believe anything else for a second. Now,
I don't disagree with the possibility of him turning
his life around, but everything I see right now
seems like a media ploy to create a positive perception.
It takes a long time to mend things like that,
and with a history of aggression like his, it'll
take even longer to get over both parts equally.
Done.
Click on my name and send me something if you
disagree. If you have a good point, I'll put it
on the web site. And click here
for Tuesday's update.
