The voting has completed for
the CoTW and we have a winner. The
first ever Sports Bar Chump of The Week winner is :
 |
| Nate
Newton ! |
Now that we have our winner,
let's take a look back at what was written about him in
the nominations...
"My nomination for COTW is Nate
Newton (Former All-Pro NFL Offensive Lineman). This fat-ass
has been dumb enough to get caught twice in one month trying
to smoke his own weight in pot. Now how am I supposed to
see a Cowboys' uniform without
thinking of that damn pot smokin' fish from Up In Smoke?"
"No questions about it...former
OL - Nate Newton. 225 lbs of weed, busted...'hey they won't
get me again...', 175 lbs of weed, busted...now he sits
in Seagoville. What a freakin moron. How can one of the best ever OL go from being awesome
to being a dumbass???"
Now, let's look at some Nate
News :
(11/06/01)
"Former Dallas Cowboys star Nate Newton was arrested when
police confiscated 213 pounds of marijuana from a van on
a highway." - First Arrest, 213 lbs. of Marijuana here.
Go Nate!
(12/12/01)
"Nate maintains his innocence
and says he's not guilty," attorney Howard Shapiro said
after Newton's initial appearance before a federal magistrate
on the drug charge. "He's made mistakes in the past, but
this was not one of them." - How clever. 2nd arrest,
175 lbs. of Marijuana this time. Nate!
(01/10/02) "A
grand jury indicted former NFL lineman Nate Newton on
federal drug-trafficking counts. The indictment,
dated Tuesday, alleges that Newton and three other suspects
conspired to possess and distribute marijuana." -
Recently indicted! Go Nate! I thought "...he's
not guilty...". Guess not.
As you can see, Nate has done
himself a great deed for our society, and that is get his
ass busted for trafficking drugs. He had some stiff
competition from the Cleveland Browns Fans and Officials
who collectively dropped the IQ of the gene pool down a
significant amount. But, Nate persevered and won.
Hopefully this is the last we see from this jackass in Chump
of The Week Honors, but you never know what may happen next.
I'd like to thank everyone who
nominated and voted for the first Chump of The Week ever
in the Sports Bar. I look forward to future voting
and nominations. Speaking of that, I'm
open for nominations now for the poll that should be
created Tuesday of next week for the next round of Chumps
to vote on. I've already got a few, but there are
more out there. Also, I'm sure we'll find some this
weekend as the NFL Playoffs begin.
