Left Standing, barely…
Alright, alright this is getting ridiculous.
How many teams are going to line up
against the Buckeyes and blow the game
at the end. The scores speak for themselves.
Three of the last four games Ohio State
has played have been scary for them.
Their last three wins are by a COMBINED
17 points. That’s bad considering the
last two have been against unranked
teams. I think it’s a shame that the
Fiesta might feature a team from a weak
conference like the Big 10. It’s not
one of those cases where each team has
knocked each other off and the conference
appears to be weak. It’s more like the
conference was weak to start with and
flairs of greatness have popped up as
of late. Penn State has kept things
interesting, Michigan has remained strong,
but Ohio State has come out of nowhere
and is on the verge of running through
a perfect season, with only Michigan
standing in the way.

Ohio
State
The consequences of this game are very
similar to last year’s game. Only one
difference, Ohio State is looking to
wrap up the conference championship
and Michigan comes in as the spoilers.
Last year, The Buckeyes went into Michigan
and ruined the Wolverines Big 10 championship
hopes. Michigan hopes to return the
favor.
Ohio State has put together a strong
season. Hell, strong is an understatement.
However, lately the swagger is missing.
OSU has struggled on the road against
unranked opponents in recent weeks.
Maybe it’s because all eyes are on them?
Hostile environments? No, no. The reason
is that Clarett has not suited up the
last three games. That will change Saturday
when these two square off in the famed
Horseshoe. Clarett has guaranteed that
he will play.
Clarett will create problems for the
troubled Michigan defense. He will be
able to open up the field for his teammates
since Michigan will have to put eight
in the box against him. He also has
the ability to make short passes into
long plays. He’s already scored a couple
touchdowns through the air but he’s
best on the ground. He’s averaging a
whopping 6.0 per carry.
I see OSU winning at home but I still
don’t see them as the team everyone
needs to play against Miami.
So, Buckeyes enjoy your last win of
the year.
Upset Special
Missouri over Kansas State
Watch out Wildcats, this weekend will
be rough on you. I point to this as
the upset of the week for several reasons.
The current line on this is 15 and that
is far too many points. The smart better
looks at multiple variables in every
game.
There is no doubt that KSU is better
than Missouri, you won’t hear me say
that in this piece. What you will hear
form me is that KSU has little to no
motivation coming into this game. They
don’t care about Missouri. They’re out
of the BCS picture. Also, just last
week, CU clinched the north division,
leaving KSU out of the conference championship.
History shows that KSU has a tendency
to give up. Remember 98? KSU tore through
the regular season only to be upset
by Texas A&M in the Big 12 title
game. After not receiving a BCS bowl,
they were blown out of the Alamo bowl
by Purdue, a MUCH weaker team.
They are in another seemingly hopeless
situation. If they win, big deal. They
were supposed to win against a weak
team. If they lose, everyone will notice.
I definitely suggest betting on Missouri
with the line. I even feel that the
Tigers can pull out the win straight
up.
