the Playoffs started. I'm just a lazy-ass.)
Western Conference
(8) Vancouver Canucks @ (1) Detroit
Red Wings
Gallion : Gimme
the Wings in 5. Canucks got swept
last year, so they should nab a game or
two this year. Still not enough talent
against the 987594385743957 Hall-Of-Famer's
on Detroit. (As of right now, the 5 game
prediction is shot. Bastards.)
Ozzymadeo : Detroit
will quit making fun of the Tigers and actually
start to play some hockey.

(7) Los Angeles Kings @ (2) Colorado
Avalanche
Gallion : I'll take
the Av's in 5 games here, too. L.A.
did play Detroit and Colorado to 7 game
series consecutively last year, but Colorado
got Forsberg back, and, although he did
fake injuries all season and is a pussy,
he's still pretty good.
Ozzymadeo : Sorry Barry
Melrose, the L.A. Kings will NOT go all
the way.

(6) Phoenix Coyotes @ (3) San Jose
Sharks
Gallion : This should
be a very physical series with the dirty-ass
Sharks injuring about 5+ players on the
Coyotes. The Sharks aren't as good
as their seeding, but someone had to win
the Pacific. Sharks in 7, in my mind.
Ozzymadeo : Wayne Gretzky
will bash everybody for not thinking the
Coyotes can win. He'll rename them the Winnipeg
Coyotes mid-series and lead them to victory.

(5) St. Louis Blues @ (4) Chicago
Blackhawks
Gallion : In the Western
Conference, the Blackhawks are probably
the worst team to be participating.
They really don't have much, especially
in the way of depth. The Blues have
a young goaltender, but have plenty of talent
on Offense and Defense. For the Blues,
in the whole Playoffs, the Goalie will be
the key. If Johnson can stand on his
head for a few games and just be solid,
the Blues will take this one in 6 games.
Ozzymadeo : Ed Belfour
will get drunk once again and begin to believe
he's back on the Blackhawks. When they try
to remove him, he'll beat up some cops and
tear up the dressing room. The shame of
it all will spell the end for the Blackhawks.

Eastern Conference
(8) Montreal Canadiens @ (1) Boston
Bruins
Ozzymadeo : Bears versus
Canadiens. I know of the bear. I fear them.
Gallion : Two of the
Original 6 going at it here. How great.
Theodore is awesome for Montreal, but they
are what they are, an 8th seed. The
Bruins will overcome and win in 7.

(7) Ottawa Senators @ (2) Philadelphia
Flyers
Ozzymadeo : The legacy
of Lindros forces the Flyers' players to
all get concussions.
Gallion : For the last
few years, Ottawa has always found a way
to lose early in the playoffs. With a
questionable goalie, I don't see them last
very long against the physical Flyers team.
That's, of course, if Philly can figure
out if the goalie their starting is the
right one. Flyers in 6.
Pick : Ozzymadeo - Senators,
Gallion - Flyers
(6) New Jersey Devils @ (3) Carolina
Hurricanes
Ozzymadeo : The Hartford
Whalers return and crush the Devils, who
prove they are nothing without Satan (Miroslav).
Gallion : Fact - New
Jersey was flat out better than the Tropical
Storms in the regular season. They
just happened to be in different Divisions,
so the Monsoons got the better seed.
The Devils are better suited for the playoffs,
especially after the trade for former Conn
Smythe winner Joe Nieuwendyk from the Dallas
Stars. Devils in 5.

Gallion - Devils
(5) New York Islanders @ (4) Toronto
Maple Leafs
Ozzymadeo : You would
think you've got to have at least one true
Canadian team in the second round. Still,
the Maple Leafs can't pull it off.
Gallion : Cujo has done
nothing but spare everyone to death and
be injured after the Olympics ended.
Isn't he in a contract year? Fuck
him. Islanders in 6.
