Drowning Pool Frontman Found Dead

"I have nothing against religion, really, I just had organized religion shoved down my throat and I don't buy it and I don't believe in it. The things I believe in - family, friends, and music - they haven't let me down yet. And when it comes to failed relationships, you try to take good from the bad, but these songs are a great outlet for the negatives."

DAVE WILLIAMS
1972 - 2002

Drowning Pool. A band that climbed from the ranks of the many talented groups in Dallas Texas to make it's mark on the world. Their music has been featured on World Wrestling Entertainment soundtracks and television broadcasts as well as films like The One and xXx. The small town band that made good QUICKLY had been added as a main stage act on this year's Ozzfest tour.

I regret to report that frontman, Dave Williams was found dead yesterday afternoon in his tour bus in Manassas, Virginia. He was thirty years old. No cause of death has yet been determined.

Dave (also known as "Stage" by some folks here in Dallas) had jumped from band to band here in Dallas until he joined up with Mike Luce, C.J. Pierce and Stevie Benton to form Drowning Pool. Their debut album hit hard with songs like Bodies and Tear Away.

It's a shame that we'll never get to see a talent like Dave Williams mature as an artist.

Rest In Peace
